60 Second Detective
Six Person Team | Boss Rush Jam 2023
Jan-Feb 2023
Budget cuts to the justice department have been tough on the detectives of Crime City. Not including time spent reviewing the evidence before an interrogation begins, detectives now only have one minute to question a suspect and nail the crime on them before they get away scot-free. Think you're up to the challenge? You'll need to make some slapdash, makeshift, or sometimes downright goofy accusations, or you might not finish the interrogations in time.

Design Process:
This jam started, as most do, with coming up with an idea for the game. My team and I took to Miro, brainstorming a variety of ideas and themes. Eventually we decided on a detective game, where you have to find the correct evidence to disprove the suspects claims.
We got started in our respected areas, programming, art and writing. We had meetings multiple times a week to keep up with progress and help each other out where needed. Towards the end of the jam we were able to run a few playtests to see how players tackled solving the gameplay. With the feedback we got we were able to refine some pain points and do a bit of final polish before submitting to the jam.
